A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Based in New York City, I have more than five years of experience in print production, digital media, and motion graphics. I grew up outside of Vancouver, B.C., and started my career at a local print shop in North Carolina. There, I learned the fundamentals of print production and the essential design software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. At the same time, I served as editor, layout designer, and photographer for my high school’s yearbooks.

These early experiences sparked my passion for design and led me to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where I earned a BFA in Communications Design, focusing on Graphic Design and Bookmaking. After graduation, I worked professionally at CBS as a Motion Graphics Designer, creating supplemental storytelling graphics for broadcast television using Adobe After Effects and a combination of stills, videos, and 2D/3D graphics.

I approach design projects with an eye for organization, balance, and creative problem-solving, aiming to deliver work that feels clean, bold, and imaginative. Outside of design, I enjoy solving puzzles at my kitchen table and caring for the ever-growing jungle of plants in my apartment.

DESIGN EXPERIENCE

DIGITAL & MOTION DESIGNER
Tiny Penthouse Studio, Design Agency • 2024-2025
As a freelance designer for the New York City based design agency, Tiny Penthouse Studio, I designed and produced static digital on-brand elements, enhanced current work with motion graphics, and animated assets for brands on the agency's client list.

Everything from photo and type based motion graphics to dynamic and illustrative animations for use on social media and large digital screens at events.. Along the way, I handled retouching and color correction to keep content polished and on brand. Additionally I assisted on new client project presentations, pitch decks and collaborated closely with the strategy manager to align the creative concepts with campaign goals.
MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER
CBS Broadcast Televison • 2019-2023
Working on location across from the 57th street CBS Broadcast Center; I created motion graphics and photo composite animations for the daily live broadcast, of over 200 episodes, for the TV newsmagazine, Inside Edition.

From quick-turn around themed story content creation, to 2D motion graphic based template designs, which included animated text, video integration, and photo collages, to themed seasonal show promotions. I developed storyboards and styleframes for promotional segments, and designed on brand over-the-shoulder videos, story themed lowerthirds, and various internal graphics in collaboration with the graphics team, show editors, and newsroom producers.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Pratt Center for Community Development • 2018
While studying for my undergrad degree, I worked part-time at the Pratt Center for Community Development, in Brooklyn, New York. As the graphic designer I helped make complex policy findings and data accessible and engaging.

In collaboration with policy writers and urban planners, I assisted in designing report layouts that were easy to read and on-brand, utilizing color theory, typography, and information hierarchy to highlight key points. In addition I turned charts, graphs, maps, and illustrations into clear visuals, focusing on consistency throughout the report and using data visualization to simplify complex information so it could be quickly understood.
JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Graphics Print/Copy Shop • 2012-2014
Prior to moving to NYC I worked part-time at a local Print and Copy Shop as the Junior Graphic Designer.  We supported small businesses and the community’s personal design needs by creating a range of print materials for business marketing, local publications, private events, and personal projects.

My work as a designer involved creating and preparing press-ready production files using InDesign and Illustrator, included quick turn-around business cards, small business logo design, branded brochures and rack cards, direct mailer set-up and production, merchandise packaging, and design of product labels.

I also created layouts for flyers, community newsletters, restaurant menus, and specialty print projects such as art prints, event invitation cards, and custom themed decor, as well as large-format signage, posters, banners, and tradeshow graphics. I directly collaborated with clients and gained mentorship from the creative lead.

FINE ART EXPERIENCE

ART FAIR STAFF VOLUNTEER
Hamptons Fine Art Fair • Summer 2024
To immerse myself in the art world, I volunteered to support the annual and internationally renowned Hamptons Fine Art Fair. Located in Southhampton, New York, the show welcomes 13,000 guests, 150 galleries, and various brand sponsors. This high-profile event showcases 600 respected artists and hosts several impactful charity events. As a volunteer staff member I assisted with guest services, check-in, ticketing, VIP hospitality, venue logistics, and participating gallery support.
ARTIST MANAGEMENT
Lisa Bisbee Artist • 2023-2025
An artist on a mission, Lisa Bisbee hired me to help guide her artistic journey and reach a new level of success as a fine artist. I worked with her on a creative direction for a New York City themed series of over 50 oil paintings, developed her artist identity and personal brand, and together we exhibited the artwork at ArtExpo New York 2024, and Superfine Art Fair 2024. I also directed her social media presence, provided technical assistance, and designed printed promotional materials; from an artist's catalog, work-in-progress zine, business card series, certificate of authenticity layout, and artwork tags.

She is now being represented by two galleries, the Pennsylvania State based Douglas Albert Gallery and London, UK based Signet Contemporary Art Gallery. Additionally she has been commissioned for over 30 new pieces of artwork.
CUSTOM FRAMING MANAGER
Michaels Arts & Crafts • 2015-2017
During college I worked part-time and then full-time over two summers as the Custom Framing Manager at the local Michael's Art and Crafts store.
