Graphics going live. I contributed as a motion graphics designer to the seasons, show promotions and promotional segments of the longest running television newsmagazine, Inside Edition. The role included the creation of graphics on daily episodes, made for day of broadcast, urgently communicated requests for fast turnaround, visuals to enhance investigative stories, seamlessly editable 2D motion graphics templates that incorporated animated text, and always anticipating quick last minute edits.
Working in collaboration with the graphics team, video editors, directors in the control room and team of newsroom producers, I developed systems to create on-the-quick storyboards and styleframes for news segments. I accurately designed on-brand over-the-shoulder videos, story-themed lower thirds and various internal graphics: showing paths across maps, infographics, reports, photographs, social media, and breaking news with all graphics made for day-of-air and on-demand.
