NEW CIRCLE THEATRE COMPANY  — Process of a playwrite abstracted into a Rube Goldberg Machine of success. Created to accompany a fundraiser campaign, for the fourth season of the theatre company's production.

Illustration, Motion Design, Animation

I designed and animated an abstract stage-like illustration to visualize New Circle Theatre Company’s unique play development process, from first draft to full production. Each geometric element represents a step in their journey: the climb of early submissions, the swing and balance of workshops, the flow of collaboration in writer’s groups, and finally the launch into fully staged productions. The minimalist, symbolic design translates the company’s step-by-step process into a structured yet poetic visual journey. Like a Rube Goldberg machine, each step sets off the next; an elaborate contraption leading the play into success.

“A Play’s Long Journey into Flight” is a metaphor for guiding a script from fragile beginnings to a fully mounted production. A play gains strength, momentum, and ultimately takes flight before an audience.
