Syllabus : Graphic Design II : 2018

This course will focus on the role graphic designers play not just as manipulators of existing tools like fonts, grids, identity systems, and software–but as creators of new tools.

We will learn the history and theory behind open and closed systems while inventing programs and instruments of our own; that we will share with classmates and implement ourselves.

Focus on overall process, research, the development of ideas, the expression of these ideas in language and form, and the craft required to effectively design.
